3D Character Artist

We are seeking a talented 3D Character Artist to help us bring our concepts to life. As our main character artist, this role involves sculpting a large cast of characters and collaborating closely with our concept artist, rigger and animator to achieve a high-quality final result.

Responsibilities

  • Model stylized game-ready characters based on concept art

  • Work closely with rigger to ensure models meet topology, deformation, and technical requirements

  • Incorporate feedback and work closely with other team members to deliver a polished final product

  • Help streamline the character production pipeline when applicable

  • Model props and occasional environment assets as needed

  • Support on other development tasks when necessary such as but not limited to helping with testing, feedback, etc.

Requirements

  • A strong portfolio of stylized characters

  • Solid understanding of human anatomy, form, and proportions

  • Experience box modeling human characters from scratch

  • Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Maya and ZBrush

Nice-to-Haves

  • Portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of facial features and body types

  • Portfolio demonstrating a solid understanding of animal anatomy

  • Portfolio work showing animation ready topology

  • Experience in a small team, remote work environment

  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine
